2 friends die while enjoying motorcycle ride in Gopalganj

Two friends died in a road accident while they were going out for a motorcycle ride in Gopalganj Sadar.

The incident occurred when they lost control over the motorcycle and hit a tree in the Kalimandir area of ​​Durgapur village in Jalalabad union of Sadar upazila around 10am on Friday (January 10).

The deceased are Badhan Fakir,14, son of Bulbul Fakir of Ichakhali village of the upazila, and Maruf Sheikh, son of Palash Sheikh of the same village.

Locals said that the two friends had gone out on a motorcycle this morning. On the way, when they reached the Kalimandir area of ​​Durgapur village in Jalalabad union, they faild to control the high-speed motorcycle and hit a tree. Both the youths received serious injury.

Later, locals rescued them and took them to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared them dead.

Confirming this, SI Morad Hossain of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station said that the bodies of the deceased have been kept at Gopalganj Sadar Hospital.

The bodies will be handed over to the family members when they arrive.
