Two active members of the banned militant group Hizb ut-Tahrir has been arrested from the Turag area of the capital. Members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Unit (CTTC) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) captured them early Friday. Talibur Rahman, deputy commissioner of the DMP media wing, confirmed the arrests. However, the identities of the arrestees were not disclosed. "We will provide more details to the media later," he said.

রাজধানীর তুরাগ এলাকা থেকে নিষিদ্ধ ঘোষিত জঙ্গি সংগঠন হিযবুত তাহরীরের দুই সক্রিয় সদস্যকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে। ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশের (ডিএমপি) কাউন্টার টেরোরিজম ও ট্রান্সন্যাশনাল ইউনিট (সিটিটিসি) শুক্রবার ভোরে তাদের গ্রেপ্তার করে। ডিএমপির মিডিয়া শাখার উপ-কমিশনার তালিবুর রহমান বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন। তবে গ্রেপ্তারকৃতদের নাম-পরিচয় এখনো প্রকাশ করা হয়নি। তিনি বলেন, পরবর্তীতে বিস্তারিত তথ্য সংবাদমাধ্যমকে জানানো হবে।
