2 killed, 3 injured in bus-CNG collision in Sunamganj

Two people were killed and three others seriously injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on the Sunamganj-Sylhet regional highway on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident occurred in the Bahadurpur area when a CNG auto-rickshaw, heading towards Shantiganj from Sunamganj, collided with a speeding bus coming from Sylhet.

According to police and local sources, the impact of the collision was severe, leaving two people dead at the scene and injuring three others.

Law enforcement officers arrived shortly after the incident, recovered the bodies, and transported the injured to Sunamganj Sadar Hospital for treatment.

Sub-Inspector Anis of Sunamganj Police Station confirmed the incident, stating, “Two people have died in the bus-CNG collision. We are currently on-site and will provide further updates as the investigation continues.”
