2 more arrested in Asaduzzaman Tuhin murder case, total reaches 7

The Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) has made two additional arrests in the murder case of journalist Asaduzzaman Tuhin, bringing the total number of arrests to seven.

Shahjalal, 25, was apprehended late Friday night (August 8) from the Char Masland Moralpara area in Gafargaon, Mymensingh. Police confirmed that Shahjalal, son of Hanif Mia from Cumilla’s Anantapur village, is directly involved in the murder.

In a separate operation, Md. Faisal Hasan, 23, was arrested from a rented house in the Mahbub School Mor area of Gazipur’s Chandana. Faisal, hailing from Panchbaria village in Pabna, is also linked to the crime.

Gazipur Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner Zahid Hasan confirmed that, prior to these arrests, police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel had already detained five other suspects connected to the murder.

"All the arrested individuals were directly involved in this crime," he said.
