2 more die with measles symptoms, 1,343 new patients
Two people died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 1,343 people were newly infected with suspected and confirmed measles.
The information was provided in a press release sent from the Directorate General of Health Services control room on Thursday, September 17.
It said the number of patients identified with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours was 1,282, while the total number of measles patients from March 15 to September 17 was 176,480.
The number of confirmed measles patients in the last 24 hours was 61, while the total number of confirmed measles patients from March 15 to September 17 was 20,343.
From March 15 to September 17, a total of 155,602 people were hospitalised with measles symptoms.
During the same period, 149,540 people recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
Two people died with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, and a total of 946 children died with measles symptoms from March 15 to September 17.
No one died from confirmed measles in the last 24 hours, while 100 people died from confirmed measles from March 15 to September 17.
