2 more die with measles symptoms in 24 hours, death toll reaches 1,110
Two people have died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 1,132 people were newly infected with suspected and confirmed measles.
The information was provided in the regular measles report of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday afternoon, September 29.
It said the total number of deaths from suspected measles from March 15 of the current year to date is 1,009, while the number of deaths from confirmed measles is 101.
In the last 24 hours, one person each died with measles symptoms in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
During the same period, 82 people were confirmed with measles. So far, 21,602 people have been infected with confirmed measles.
Additionally, measles symptoms were found in 1,132 people in 24 hours. With this, the total number of suspected infections stands at 192,863.
