2 Tongi Police Station OCs transferred

The Officers-in-Charge (OCs) of Tongi East and Tongi West police stations under the Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) have been transferred, confirmed GMP authorities on Sunday night.

According to Mohiuddin Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner (Crime-South) of GMP, OC Faridul Islam of Tongi East Police Station has been transferred to the Chattogram Range, while OC Iskandar Habibur Rahman of Tongi West Police Station has been reassigned to the Sylhet Range. The transfers were made following directives from the Police Headquarters.

Although the reason behind the simultaneous transfer of the two OCs was not disclosed, the move has raised questions in local circles.
