20 devotees injured as bus overturns in Rangamati
A bus carrying Buddhist devotees overturned in Rangamati's Manikchhari area, leaving 20 people injured.
The accident occurred around 9:30 am on Friday (November 29) near Munshi Abdur Rauf Square, as the bus was heading from Rangunia to a religious event at Rajban Bihar.
Upon receiving the news, firefighters and police rescued the injured and took them to Rangamati General Hospital.
The passengers on the bus stated that they were a group of 40 traveling from Rangunia to Rajban Bihar in Rangamati for a religious event when the bus lost control and overturned in the Manikchhari area.
Sadia Chowdhury, the on-duty doctor at Rangamati General Hospital, reported that the injured were treated, and three critically injured patients were referred to Chattogram for specialized care.
