2026 HSC, equivalent exams to be held on full syllabus in May-June
The 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC), Alim, and equivalent examinations will be conducted on the full syllabus with full marks and duration for all subjects, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has announced.
According to an official letter from the NCTB, published on the website of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board on Saturday (August 23), the exams are scheduled to take place in May-June 2026.
The notice confirms that students currently enrolled in class XI for the academic year 2024–25, whose classes began in the second week of August 2024, will sit for the 2026 public examinations.
The decision marks a return to the pre-pandemic examination format, with assessments to be held based on the complete curriculum set by the NCTB, and no reductions in syllabus, marks, or exam time.
