226 madrasa institutions record zero pass rate

In this year's SSC and equivalent examination results, no student from 226 madrasas across the country passed. The pass rate in this education board is 55.49 percent.

According to the published results, the combined pass rate of nine general education boards, the Madrasa and Technical Education Boards is 62.25 percent.

However, the lowest pass rate was recorded in the Madrasa Education Board. A total of 2,96,982 examinees from 741 centres appeared for the Dakhil examinations. Among them, 1,64,797 passed. A total of 6,176 students achieved GPA-5.

Earlier on Monday, August 10, Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon formally announced the SSC and equivalent examination results at the Ministry of Education's conference room.

A total of 18,57,344 students had filled out forms for this year's SSC and equivalent examinations. Among them, 14,18,398 students appeared for SSC under nine general education boards, 3,04,286 for Dakhil under the Madrasa Education Board, and 1,34,660 for SSC (Vocational) under the Technical Education Board.

This means students from 30,666 educational institutions across 3,885 centres participated in this year's examinations.
