23 days of holiday in educational institutions in August-September

Educational institutions across the country, including schools, colleges and their equivalents, will remain closed for a total of 23 days in August and September, including weekly and public holidays. As a result, classes will be held for 38 days during these two months.

An analysis of the Ministry of Education's 2026 holiday calendar revealed this information. According to the holiday list, educational institutions will remain closed for 12 days in August, including nine weekly holidays and three public holidays. The public holidays are July 5 (July Mass Uprising Day), August 12 (Akhri Chahar Somba) and August 26 (Eid-e-Miladun Nabi). Classes will be held for 19 days in this month.

In September, a total of 11 days will be holidays, including weekly and public holidays. Classes will also be held for 19 days in September. Overall, despite 23 days of holidays over the two months, students will have 38 days of classroom instruction.

However, the Ministry of Education has stated that if natural disasters, adverse weather or any other special circumstances arise, additional or special holidays may be declared as per the decision of the relevant authorities.
