264 officers promoted to senior assistant secretary

A total of 264 officers from the BCS Administration cadre have been promoted to the post of Senior Assistant Secretary.

The promotion was announced through an official notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday night (March 24).

Following the promotion, the officers will now receive salaries and allowances under Grade 6 of the National Pay Scale 2015, ranging from BDT 35,500 to 67,010.

According to sources, the promotions were granted to those who successfully passed the senior scale examination conducted under the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC).

In separate notifications issued by the ministry, it has been stated that the promoted officers will join as Officers on Special Duty by reporting via email to the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration. They will continue to serve at their current workplaces until further orders are issued.
