The government has promoted 268 mid-level officers to the rank of Deputy Secretary, as part of a major administrative reshuffle aimed at enhancing bureaucratic efficiency. 
The Ministry of Public Administration issued an official notification on Thursday (August 8), confirming the promotions. 
According to the notice, all promoted officers have been appointed as Officers on Special Duty (OSD) under the ministry. 
The notification further instructed that if an officer’s current workplace has changed from the one mentioned in the promotion order, they must submit a joining letter specifying the updated office name and address.

সরকার ২৬৮ জন কর্মকর্তাকে পদোন্নতি দিয়ে উপসচিব করেছে। বৃহস্পতিবার (২৮ আগস্ট) জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয় থেকে এ সংক্রান্ত প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করা হয়েছে। প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়েছে, এই কর্মকর্তাদের উপসচিব পদে পদোন্নতি প্রদানপূর্বক জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয়ের বিশেষ ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (উপসচিব) নিয়োগ করা হলো। এতে আরও বলা হয়, পদোন্নতির আদেশে উল্লেখিত কর্মস্থল হতে কোনো কর্মকর্তার দপ্তর/ কর্মস্থল ইতিমধ্যে পরিবর্তন হলে কর্মরত দপ্তরের নাম/ঠিকানা উল্লেখ করে তিনি যোগদানপত্র দাখিল করবেন।
