Twenty-seven platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in Dhaka and adjoining districts to maintain law and order situation during the 48-hour countrywide blockade. Shariful Islam, public relations officer (PRO) at BGB headquarters, confirmed the news. He on Sunday morning said that 10 more platoons of the paramilitary forces have been kept standby to face any situation. After the three-day countrywide blockade, another road, rail and waterways blockade for 48 hours called by BNP, Jamaat and like-minded opposition parties began across the country this morning. The blockade started at 6:00am today and will end at 6:00am on Tuesday.&nbsp;The number of private and public transports on the road is more compared to the three-day blockade last week.

দেশব্যাপী ৪৮ ঘণ্টার অবরোধে আইনশৃঙ্খলা পরিস্থিতি স্বাভাবিক রাখতে ঢাকা ও পার্শ্ববর্তী জেলায় ২৭ প্লাটুন বিজিবি মোতায়েন করা হয়েছে। বর্ডার গার্ড বাংলাদেশের (বিজিবি) সদর দপ্তরের জনসংযোগ কর্মকর্তা (পিআরও) শরিফুল ইসলাম এ খবর নিশ্চিত করেছেন। রবিবার সকালে তিনি জানান, যেকোনো পরিস্থিতি মোকাবিলায় এই আধাসামরিক বাহিনীর আরও ১০ প্লাটুনকে প্রস্তুত রাখা হয়েছে। আজ সকাল ৬টা থেকে বিএনপি-জামায়াত ও সমমনা বিরোধী দলগুলোর ডাকা দেশব্যাপী ৪৮ ঘণ্টার অবরোধ শুরু হয়। অবরোধ শেষ হবে মঙ্গলবার সকাল ৬টায়। তবে&nbsp;গত সপ্তাহের তিন দিনের অবরোধের তুলনায় এবারের অবরোধে সড়কে বেসরকারি ও গণপরিবহনের সংখ্যা বেশি দেখা গেছে।
