28 Bangladeshis reach Pakistan border to return home from Iran
The first group of 28 Bangladeshis, including women and children, who wished to return home due to the ongoing conflict in Iran, has reached the Pakistan border by road.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed this information in a press release on Thursday (June 26).
According to the press release, the group will soon travel from the border to Karachi, where they will board a flight back to Bangladesh.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Tehran will continue to support Bangladeshi citizens seeking to return home until the situation in Iran returns to normal, it added.
The embassy remains in close contact with Bangladeshi citizens in Iran and had launched two hotline numbers at the onset of the conflict to facilitate communication.
