3 children die with Measles symptoms, 123 under treatment in Rajshahi

Three more children have died of measles symptoms in Rajshahi. Of these, one died at Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital and two children died at the city's private Royal Hospital.

A spokesperson for the RMC Hospital said that one child died of measles symptoms while undergoing treatment at the hospital in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 18 more children have been admitted. Currently, 123 children are undergoing treatment at the hospital. In addition, 32 have recovered and returned home in the last 24 hours.

According to hospital sources, a total of 429 patients with measles symptoms have been admitted to the RMC Hospital so far. Of them, 43 have died. On the other hand, two children who were undergoing treatment at the Royal Hospital have also died during the same period.

According to doctors, children whose immunity is low are suffering from more complications. However, the hospital authorities said that the situation has now come under some control and the patients are being treated under close observation.

18 ICUs, three general wards and one isolation ward have been prepared at Ramech Hospital to treat the infected children. Patients are being given necessary treatment according to the level of infection.
