3 countries extend visa validity for Bangladeshis
Special measures have been taken for expatriates on leave in Bangladesh amid tensions across the Middle East following the ongoing war between Iran and Israel-US. Several countries have decided to extend the visa validity of Bangladeshi workers.
The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment recently announced this in a public notice.
It stated that due to the war situation, many expatriate workers on leave in Bangladesh have already had their visas expire or will soon expire.
The notice informed that workers on leave in Bangladesh from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Oman and Bahrain must contact their employers, sponsors or Kafeel for visa renewal or apply online.
Meanwhile, the governments of Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE have already decided to automatically extend entry visas that have expired or are about to expire by an additional month.
The Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment said this public notice has been issued for the convenience of concerned expatriate workers and to enable them to take necessary steps.
