3 earthquakes jolt Bangladesh in 13 hours
Three consecutive earthquakes were felt in the country in a span of 13 hours. Although the magnitude of the tremors was mild to moderate, the common people were panicked.
According to the Earthquake Monitoring Center, these tremors were felt for about 13 hours from 3 am on Wednesday to 4:15 pm on Thursday.
Rubaiyat Kabir, the officer-in-charge of the Earthquake Monitoring Center, said that the earthquake that was felt at 4:15 pm, originated in Ghorashal of Narsingdi. Its magnitude was 3.6 on the Richter scale.
On November 22 and 23, four earthquakes were felt in Dhaka and its surrounding areas in a span of two days. Three of those originated in Narsingdi and one in Dhaka. Of these, three earthquakes were felt on Friday (November 21) and one on Saturday (November 22).
