3 govt officials to visit China for mobile toilet training

Three officials from the Local Government Division are set to visit China for training on the operation and maintenance of five new mobile (VIP) toilets.

The permission was granted through a government order signed by Joint Secretary Mahbuba Irin on September 14.

The officials—Senior Assistant Secretary Md. Faruk Hossain, DSCC Assistant Engineer Mohammad Nuruzzaman, and Sub-Assistant Engineer Mohammad Zakir Hossain—will attend the training from October 27 to November 2.

According to the order, all expenses will be borne by the supplying company, Shandong Quanbai Intelligent Manufacturing Co. Ltd.

However, the Chief Adviser’s Office has long instructed officials to avoid foreign trips funded by contractors or suppliers.
