Three people were killed and three others injured when a bus hit a leguna in the capital’s Demra on Thursday morning. Two women and one man are among the deceased. The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. They were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the doctors declared three of them dead, said sources. The three other injured are in critical condition, said the doctors. Sources said the bodies were kept at the morgue for autopsies. Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Demra Zone Assistant Commissioner (AC) Madhusudan Das said that the accident took place at Demra Staff Quarters around 10:20 am.&nbsp;

রাজধানীর ডেমরায় একটি বাসের ধাক্কায় লেগুনায় থাকা তিন যাত্রী মারা গেছেন। বৃহস্পতিবার (২৩ নভেম্বর) সকালে ডেমরা বাঁশেরপুল ও বামৈল এলাকার মাঝামাঝি জায়গায় এ দুর্ঘটনায় আরও অন্তত তিনজন আহত হয়েছেন। ঢাকা মহানগর পুলিশের (ডিএমপি) ডেমরা জোনের সহকারী কমিশনার (এসি) মধুসূদন দাস এ বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে জানান, আজ সকাল ১০টা ২০ মিনিটের দিকে ডেমরা স্টাফ কোয়ার্টার এলাকায় এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। নিহত তিনজনের মধ্যে দুজন নারী ও একজন পুরুষ। তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে নিহতদের নাম-পরিচয় জানা যায়নি। পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে আছে। ডেমরা থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) জহিরুল ইসলাম আরও জানান, সকালে ডেমরা স্টাফ রোডে বার্জার পেইন্টের সামনে রাস্তায় একটি বাস লেগুনাকে ধাক্কা দেয়। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে হতাহতদের উদ্ধার করে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ (ঢামেক) হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়। হাসপাতালে নেওয়ার পরপরই চিকিৎসকরা তিনজনকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন। আহত আরও তিনজন ঢামেক হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন।
