3 killed in bus-easybike collision in Gaibandha

Three people were killed and two others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a battery-operated easybike in Gaibandha’s Palashbari upazila. The accident took place around 3:30pm on Friday (June 6) near Dholbhanga Bazar on the Gaibandha-Polashbari regional highway.

Palashbari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto said, “Three easybike passengers died at the scene, and the injured were promptly taken to the hospital.”

The deceased were identified as Goni Mia (40), the easybike driver, and Liakat (18) and Ibnul (18), all from Khamar Narail village in Betkapa Union of Palashbari.

“The bus involved in the accident has been seized, and the bodies have been brought to the police station. The incident is under investigation,” the OC added.
