3 killed in Dhaka as strong earthquake hits Bangladesh
At least three people were killed in Dhaka’s Banshal area after a railing of a five-storey building collapsed due to an earthquake, police confirmed on Friday (November 21).
The tremor, measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale, struck at 10:38am, with its epicenter in Madhabdi, Narsingdi, about 13 kilometers from Dhaka.
Buildings swayed across the capital, prompting many residents to rush outside in panic. Reports of structural damage continue to emerge.
