Three members of the same family were killed when a microbus collided with the back of a stationary truck in Basail upazila of Tangail,. Three others were injured in the incident. The accident took place on Tuesday morning (June 3) near the Karati Para bypass area on the Dhaka-Tangail highway. The officer-in-charge (OC) of Basail police station, Jalal Uddin, confirmed the matter. He stated that a microbus lost control and crashed into the back of a truck in Basail. The father and his two sons died at the scene. Additionally, three others were injured and have been admitted to Tangail Sadar Hospital after being rescued.

টাঙ্গাইলের বাসাইল উপজেলায় দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা ট্রাকের পেছনে মাইক্রোবাসের ধাক্কায় একই পরিবারের তিনজন নিহত হয়েছেন। এ সময় আহত হয়েছেন আরও তিনজন। মঙ্গলবার (৩ জুন) সকালে ঢাকা-টাঙ্গাইল মহাসড়কের করাতি পারা বাইপাস এলাকায় এই ঘটনা ঘটে। বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন বাসাইল থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) জালাল উদ্দিন। তিনি জানান, বাসাইলে ট্রাকের পেছনে নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারিয়ে একটি মাইক্রোবাস ধাক্কা দেয়। এতে ঘটনাস্থলেই বাবা ও দুই ছেলে নিহত হন। এ ছাড়াও এ সময় আহত হয়েছেন আরও তিনজন। তাদেরকে উদ্ধার করে টাঙ্গাইল সদর হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।
