3 more die from dengue, 615 hospitalised

Three more people in the country have died from dengue between 8am on Tuesday and 8am on Monday. During the same period, 615 patients were admitted to hospital.

The Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services released the information on Wednesday, November 26.

According to the statement, 615 dengue patients were admitted in the past 24 hours. Of them, 77 were admitted in Barishal Division, 85 in Chattogram Division, 128 in Dhaka Division (outside the city corporations), 126 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 103 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 37 in Khulna Division (outside the city corporation), 34 in Mymensingh Division, 22 in Rajshahi Division and 6 in Sylhet Division.

During the same period, 682 dengue patients were discharged from hospital. This year, a total of 89,631 patients have been released so far.

Since January 2025, a total of 92,217 patients have been hospitalised with dengue, and 370 deaths have been recorded.

In comparison, 101,214 patients were admitted in 2024 and 575 died. In 2023, 321,179 patients were hospitalised with dengue, and 1,705 died.
