3 more die in dengue, 1197 in hospital

Three more people died due to dengue fever in last 24 hours. At the same time, another 1,197 people were infected and admitted to the hospital.

This was informed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Health Directorate on Monday (October 28).

According to the press release, among the new admissions in the hospital from 8 am on Sunday to 8 am on Monday, 82 people were admitted in Barisal Division, 140 in Chattogram Division, 16 in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), 254 in Dhaka North City, 151 in Dhaka South City, 136 in Khulna Division, and 317 people have been infected in Mymensingh division. Also, 71 new patients have been admitted in Rajshahi division, 25 in Rangpur division and 4 new patients in Sylhet division.

The Health Directorate also said that since January this year, a total of 58,108 patients have been admitted to the hospital. On the other hand, 280 people have died of dengue so far this year, including 3 people in the last one day.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 1288 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country. This year, 53,858 people have received clearance.
