3 more die of dengue; 805 hospitalized in a day

Three more people have died from dengue in the country over the past 24 hours. During the same period, 805 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

According to the DGHS notification released on Sunday, the highest number of new admissions—417 patients—was recorded in the Dhaka division. Additionally, 65 patients were admitted in Mymensingh, 82 in Chattogram, 97 in Khulna, 55 in Rajshahi, 7 in Rangpur, 80 in Barishal, and 2 in the Sylhet division.

Since the beginning of the year, a total of 23,978 people have been hospitalized due to dengue in the country. Of these, 22,159 have recovered and been discharged.

Currently, 1,749 dengue patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the country. A total of 70 people have died from dengue so far this year.
