3 more die with measles symptoms in 24 hours; 1,310 infected

Three more people have died with measles symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. During the same period, 1,310 people were newly infected with suspected and confirmed measles.

The information was provided in the regular measles report of the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday afternoon.

It said the total number of deaths from suspected measles from March 15 of the current year to date is 998, while the number of deaths from confirmed measles is 101.

From March 15 to date, a total of 167,469 people have been admitted to hospitals across the country with measles symptoms. Among them, a total of 160,705 have so far recovered and returned home.

Earlier, on Sunday, September 27, nine children died with measles symptoms across the country. On that day, 1,341 new patients were identified.
