3 more people die of dengue

Three more people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 912 new patients have been admitted to the hospital, the Directorate General of Health Services said.

This information was given in a notification sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday (November 11).

The notification said that among the dengue patients admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours, 138 are in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 151 in Chittagong, 130 in Dhaka division outside Dhaka, 194 in Dhaka North City, 131 in South City, 72 in Khulna, 88 in Rajshahi, three in Rangpur and five in Sylhet.

At the same time, 929 patients have been discharged from the hospital. With this, a total of 76,938 patients have recovered and returned home this year.

A total of 80,634 dengue patients have been identified in the country so far this year. Of these, 62.3 percent are men and 37.7 percent are women.

With three deaths in the last 24 hours, the total number of dengue deaths this year has reached 318.

According to the Department of Health, 101,214 people were infected with dengue in the country in 2024 and a total of 575 people died.
