3 new advisers were sworn in
The number of members of the Advisory Council of the Interim Government has increased by five.
Among the new five advisers, three advisers were sworn in.
They took oath on Sunday (November 10) at 7:30 pm. President Md Sahabuddin administered the event.
The advisers who took the oath are Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Mahfuz Alam, film director Mustafa Sarayer Faruqi and Sheikh Bashir Uddin.
Sheikh Hasina fled to India on August 5 in the face of student uprising. Then on August 8, an interim government was formed under the leadership of Nobel laureate Dr Muhammad Yunus. The number of members of advisory council of this government including the Chief Advisor is now 21. If five more members are added this time, the total number of members of the advisory council will be 26.
