3 sacks found at tree base, 6 body parts recovered

Police have recovered the dismembered body of a man, cut into six pieces, stuffed into three plastic sacks beside a paddy field in Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur.

The sacks were recovered from the roadside in the Boalia area of Raipur union in the upazila around 10am on Saturday, September 12. Assistant Superintendent of Police Masuduzzaman of the Madhukhali-Boalmari-Alfadanga circle confirmed the information.

Police said the paddy fields of Lovlu Mallik and Ishaq Mia are located about 200 yards ahead of Boalia bus stand on the right side of the Faridpur-bound road. A few passers-by spotted three tied plastic sacks lying at the base of a palm tree beside the field. Suspicious of the sacks, they called the national emergency service number 999.

Upon receiving the information, police went to the scene and opened the sacks, finding dismembered body parts inside. The parts were recovered and efforts to identify the deceased began.

Police suspect the body is of a man approximately 40 years old. The body has been sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for post-mortem.

The identity of the deceased is not yet known. Police are investigating where and how he was killed and how the body parts were dumped in the area. Investigation is also ongoing to identify the deceased and uncover the mystery behind the murder.
