31 resign from newly formed 41-member body of Noakhali NCP youth wing

A total of 31 members of 41-member committee of the newly formed youth wing of National Citizen Party's (NCP) Noakhali district unit resigned.

The verified Facebook page of NCP youth wing Jubo Shakti announced the 41-member committee with Nur Alam as the convener and Shihab Uddin as the member secretary.

However, a few hours later, 31 members announced their resignations by posting on their Facebook IDs.

According to the organization's district sources, after the committee was announced, the senior joint convener of the district unit committee, Yasin Arafat, was the first to announce his resignation. After that, except for joint member secretary Zahir Ahmed, all other joint member secretaries and senior joint member secretaries, including leaders holding various positions, resigned one by one.

The resignees alleged that those who worked for the organization were not evaluated. Rather, the positions were distributed based on lobbying. They alleged that this was an injustice to the members.

Senior Joint Convener Yasin Arafat, who resigned earlier, said: "As per the organizational demands of Jubo Shakti, we conducted an viva examination and submitted a proposed committee of 41 members. But instead of approving that committee, another committee was announced based on lobbying. Therefore, we have decided to resign."
