A total of 32 more Bangladeshis stranded in Iran due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel have returned home safely.

According to an official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 22 returnees arrived in Dhaka on two separate flights on early Tuesday, while 10 others landed earlier in the morning.

Earlier this month, the government repatriated 28 Bangladeshis from Iran via a land route through Pakistan following escalating tensions in the region.

Sources reveal that around 250 Bangladeshis registered with the Bangladesh Embassy in Tehran, expressing interest in returning amid the conflict. However, with the situation now stabilizing, many registered individuals have reconsidered their decision to leave. Nonetheless, a significant number of undocumented Bangladeshis remain eager to return home.

The Bangladesh Embassy in Tehran estimates that nearly 2,000 Bangladeshis currently reside in Iran, with about 400 living in the capital city of Tehran.
