Thirty-three additional deputy inspectors general (additional DIGs) of Bangladesh Police have been promoted to the rank of deputy inspector general (DIG). The Ministry of Home Affairs issued two separate notifications in this regard on Wednesday, November 26. The notifications stated that the promotion order, issued in the public interest, will take immediate effect. The promoted officers have been instructed to submit their joining letters to the Senior Secretary of the Home Ministry through the proper authority.

বাংলাদেশ পুলিশের ৩৩ জন অতিরিক্ত উপ-মহাপরিদর্শককে (অতিরিক্ত ডিআইজি) উপ-মহাপরিদর্শক (ডিআইজি) পদে পদোন্নতি দেওয়া হয়েছে। বুধবার (২৬ নভেম্বর) স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয় এ বিষয়ে পৃথক দুটি প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করে। প্রজ্ঞাপনে জানানো হয়, জনস্বার্থে জারি করা এই পদোন্নতির আদেশ অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হবে। পদোন্নতি পাওয়া কর্মকর্তাদের যথাযথ কর্তৃপক্ষের মাধ্যমে স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের সিনিয়র সচিবের বরাবর যোগদানপত্র জমা দিতে নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে।
