3.3 magnitude earthquake felt in Gazipur’s Baipail

A mild 3.3-magnitude earthquake was felt in the Baipail area of Gazipur this morning, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) confirmed.

Nizamuddin Ahmed, an official of Bangladesh Meteorological Department, confirmed that the earthquake jolted the area at 10:36am.

So far, no major damage has been reported from today’s mild tremor.

Yesterday, a powerful 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck several parts of the country, including Dhaka, killing at least 10 people. The epicentre was located at Madhabdi in Narsingdi, about 13 km east of Agargaon Seismic Centre in Dhaka.
