34 officials promoted to the post of Assistant Secretary

A total of 34 officials working in various government ministries and divisions have been promoted to the post of Assistant Secretary (Non-Cadre). A notification to this effect was issued by the Secretariat Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.

According to the notification, based on the recommendations of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) Secretariat dated July 1, 2026, the selected officials have been promoted to the 9th grade post of Assistant Secretary (Non-Cadre) under the National Pay Scale-2015.

The promoted officials had been serving as Personal Officers and Administrative Officers in various ministries and divisions. Among them are officials from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Ministry of Food, Law and Justice Division, Planning Division, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Land, Ministry of Water Resources, Posts and Telecommunications Division, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs, among other departments.

The notification further stated that the promotion order has been issued by order of the President and will come into effect immediately.
