The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained 35 Rohingyas, including women and children, from the Khejurtala Beribandh area of Patenga in Chattogram. RAB-7 Senior Assistant Director ARM Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the matter. He said they received information about a group of Rohingya attempting to enter the city via Patenga Ghat by boat from Myanmar. Later, the detainees have been handed over to Patenga Police Station for further proceedings. The official said: "We have yet to confirm the exact origin of the group as we're uncertain whether they came from Bhasan Char or directly from Myanmar with the intent to enter the city. Police are continuing investigations to clarify these details."

চট্টগ্রাম নগরীর পতেঙ্গা সৈকতের মুসলিমাবাদ বেড়িবাঁধ এলাকা থেকে নারী ও শিশুসহ ৩৫ জন রোহিঙ্গাকে আটক করা হয়েছে। তারা মিয়ানমার থেকে নৌকায় করে চট্টগ্রামে প্রবেশ করেছিলেন বলে জানা গেছে।&nbsp;শনিবার (৩ মে) গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে অভিযান চালিয়ে তাদের আটক করে র‌্যাব। আটক রোহিঙ্গাদের বরাত দিয়ে পুলিশ জানায়, প্রত্যেকে দুই হাজার টাকার বিনিময়ে দালালের মাধ্যমে মিয়ানমার থেকে চট্টগ্রামে আসেন। তাদেরকে চট্টগ্রাম শহরে পৌঁছে দেয়ার চুক্তি ছিল। তবে চট্টগ্রাম থেকে তারা কোথায় যেতে চেয়েছিলেন, তা এখনও স্পষ্ট নয়। আটককৃতদের রোহিঙ্গা ক্যাম্পে স্থানান্তর করার প্রক্রিয়া চলছে। এ ব্যাপারে র‌্যাব-৭ এর সিনিয়র সহকারী পরিচালক এ আর এম মোজাফফর হোসেন বলেন, মিয়ানমার থেকে নৌকায় করে বেশ কিছু রোহিঙ্গা পতেঙ্গা ঘাট দিয়ে অনুপ্রবেশ করে। গোপন সংবাদ পেয়ে অভিযান চালিয়ে নারী-শিশু, পুরুষসহ ৩৫ জনকে আটক করা হয়। তিনি আরও বলেন, তাদেরকে চট্টগ্রাম নগরের পতেঙ্গা থানায় হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে। তারা ভাসানচর থেকে নাকি মিয়ানমার থেকে এসেছে তা এখনও নিশ্চিত হওয়া যায়নি। পুলিশ পরবর্তী কার্যক্রম চালাচ্ছে।
