The government has promoted 39 police inspectors (unarmed) to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). A notification from the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Police–1 branch confirmed this on Monday (September 22). The notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Tousif Ahmed on behalf of the President, states that the officers, serving in the BCS (Police) cadre, have been assigned to the Police Department in their new ranks.&nbsp;

পুলিশ পরিদর্শক (নিরস্ত্র) পদে কর্মরত ৩৯ কর্মকর্তাকে পদোন্নতি দিয়ে সহকারী পুলিশ সুপার করা হয়েছে। সোমবার (২২ সেপ্টেম্বর) এ বিষয়ে প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করেছে স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়। রাষ্ট্রপতির আদেশক্রমে প্রজ্ঞাপনে সই করেছেন উপসচিব তৌছিফ আহমেদ। প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়েছে, পদোন্নতিপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তারা যথাযথ কর্তৃপক্ষের মাধ্যমে সিনিয়র সচিব, স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয় বরাবর যোগদান পত্র দাখিল করবেন। জনস্বার্থে জারি করা এ আদেশ অবিলম্বে কার্যকর হবে।
