4 Additional DIGs transferred in shake-up

The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred four Additional Deputy Inspector Generals (Additional DIGs) of Police in a recent reshuffle.

A notification from the Police-1 Branch of the Public Security Division, issued on Sunday, confirmed the changes.

According to the notification, Ali Akbar Khan, Additional DIG of the Range Reserve Force (RRF), has been posted to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Mohammad Shamsul Haque, Commander of the 9 APBN in Chattogram, has also been transferred to the CID as Additional DIG, Md. Nazrul Islam, Additional DIG of APBN Dhaka, has been reassigned to the CID in the same role and Rumana Akter, currently Additional DIG at CID, will take over as Commandant of RRF Dhaka.

The transfer orders have been made effective immediately, the ministry said.
