Police have arrested four suspects in connection with a fire and cocktail-throwing attack at the home of Dhaka University’s DUCSU independent member Umma Uswatun Rafia in Mymensingh.
The arrested are Md. Masud Rana, 45, from Kewatkhali, Md. Arif, 30, from Boardghor, Bipul, 21, and Md. Rajon, 19, from Wireless Gate.
The Mymensingh District DB and Kotwali Model Police conducted the operation.
Police said the attack occurred late Wednesday night in Dholadia, where a cocktail resembling a grenade was thrown targeting the gate at Rafia’s home, and an attempt to set fire was made.
Rafia’s brother, Khondokar Zulkarnaine, filed a written complaint at Kotwali Model Police Station on Thursday.
