4 killed in Brahmanbaria road crash

Four people were killed in a head-on collision between a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and motorcycles in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.

The accident occurred around 4:30 PM on Sunday (August 3) in the Rampura area along the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway.

The incident was confirmed by Md. Jahangir Alam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khatihata Highway Police Station.

According to eyewitnesses, two motorcycles were heading towards Dhaka when one of them collided head-on with an oncoming auto-rickshaw at Rampura. The second motorcycle, trailing behind, lost control and crashed into the already collided vehicles. As a result, four people died on the spot.

OC Jahangir Alam stated that highway police are currently working at the scene. The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed.
