4 killed in bus-auto rickshaw collision in Pabna

In Ishwardi, Pabna, four people, including a child, were killed in a collision between a passenger bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw. Two others were seriously injured and have been admitted to the hospital.

The accident occurred on Thursday (March 20) around 5 PM in front of Mallika Agro Food Products in the Baharpur area of Muladuli Union. The identities of the victims were not immediately known.

The incident has been confirmed by Shahidul Islam, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ishwardi Police Station.

Locals reported that around 5 PM, a CNG-run auto-rickshaw heading towards Dashuria from Ishwardi town collided head-on with a Volka Paribahan passenger bus traveling from Pabna to Ishwardi. As a result, three people, including a child, died on the spot. The police and fire service rescued the injured and took them to the Upazila Health Complex, where another person succumbed to their injuries.

OC Shahidul Islam said, "So far, four people have died in this incident. Two others are in critical condition and have been admitted to the hospital. I will be able to provide more details later."
