4 killed in Tangail road mishap

Four people were killed when a bus collided head on with a pickup van in Tangail's Madhupur.

The identity of the casualties could not be known immediately.

The road accident took place around 5:30am on Tuesday (November 19) near the Malauri Government Primary School on ​​Jamalpur-Tangail regional highway.

Confirming this fact, OC (Investigation) of Madhupur police station Rusel Ahmed said in front of Malauri Government Primary School of Madhupur municipality, a Dhaka-bound Binimoy bus collided with a Madhupur-bound pickup van early in the morning. The driver and helper of the pickup were killed on the spot. Later, two seriously injured passengers of the pickup were rescued and rushed to Madhupur Hospital where they died. Their identity is yet to be found.

He also said that the two vehicles have been kept in the custody of the police station.
