4 more children die of measles symptoms

In the last 24 hours (from 8am on Sunday to 8am on Monday), four more children have died of measles symptoms in the country. As a result, the total number of deaths due to measles and measles symptoms in the last three and a half months has reached 716.

At the same time, 1,145 children have been newly infected with measles and measles symptoms, of whom 141 have been diagnosed with measles and the remaining 1,04 children have been infected with measles symptoms. With this, the number of people infected with measles and measles symptoms in the last three and a half months has reached 112,062.

Of the latest four children who died, two are from Dhaka, one from Sylhet and one from Mymensingh.

This information was published in the measles report of the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services, since March 15 of this year, 1211 children have been infected with measles symptoms, and measles has been detected in 11,851 children. During this period, 83,806 children were admitted to hospitals with measles symptoms, of which 80,193 children recovered and returned home after treatment.

In the last 24 hours, 962 children were newly admitted to hospitals with measles, and 1,041 children recovered during this period.
