4 new members appointed to PSC
The government has appointed four new members to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC). The newly appointed members are: Md Nazrul Islam, Mohammad Ali, Md Ferdous Hossain and Yasmin Gofur.
The appointments were announced in separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.
The notifications stated that the President, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, has appointed them as members of the Public Service Commission. They will hold office for a term of five years from the date of joining, or until they attain the age of 65, whichever comes earlier. Other terms and conditions of their appointment will be determined in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
With the inclusion of the four new members, the total number of members in the PSC, including the chairman, now stands at 21.
