4 of a family killed in bus–easy bike collision in Dinajpur

Four members of the same family were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a minibus and an easy bike in Kaharol upazila of Dinajpur.

The accident occurred around 3 pm on Saturday, November 22, in front of the Nashipur Wheat Research Centre on the Dinajpur–Dashmile highway.

The identities of the dead and injured were not immediately known.

The information was confirmed by Kotwali Police Station’s officer-in-charge, Md Nuruzzaman.

He said that around 3 pm, a head-on collision occurred between an easy bike and a passenger bus coming from the opposite direction in front of the Nasipur Wheat Research Institute on the Dinajpur–Dashmile highway. The easy bike was crushed, killing five passengers at the scene.

The OC added, “The bodies of the deceased are being recovered and taken to the police station. They will later be sent to the morgue for post-mortem examination.”
