4 police inspectors transferred in DMP, New OC appointed at Tejgaon Police Station

Four unarmed police inspectors of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have been transferred and assigned to new posts. Among them, Md. Moniruzzaman has been appointed as the officer-in-charge (OC) of Tejgaon Police Station.

The transfer and postings were announced in an office order signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Tuesday (September 1). The order stated that it would take immediate effect.

According to the order, Md. Moniruzzaman, an unarmed police inspector (investigation) at Uttara-West Police Station, has been appointed as the OC of Tejgaon Police Station. Sabbir Mohammad Selim, an unarmed police inspector (investigation) at Tejgaon Police Station, has been transferred to the same position at Uttara-West Police Station.

In addition, Salah Uddin Kader, an unarmed police inspector (operations) at Motijheel Police Station, has been posted as an unarmed police inspector (investigation) at Ramna Police Station.


Meanwhile, Md. Nurul Islam, an unarmed police inspector (operations) at Paltan Police Station, has been transferred to the post of unarmed police inspector (investigation) at Adabor Police Station.

Copies of the DMP office order have been sent to the additional police commissioner, joint police commissioners, deputy police commissioners and various other relevant departments. The concerned departments have been instructed to take the necessary measures in accordance with the new responsibilities of the transferred and posted officers.
