42 HSC examinees given wrong question paper in Bogura
A total of 42 HSC examinees at a centre in Shibganj, Bogura, were mistakenly given last year's question paper for the creative part of the Logic examination. The error was detected after the exam ended, and the answer scripts were retrieved from the post office and sent to the Rajshahi Education Board for a decision.
The two room invigilators responsible have been relieved of their exam duties and served show-cause notices. A committee has also been formed to investigate the incident.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 15, at the Shibganj Government M.H. College centre, confirmed by centre secretary and college principal Professor Abul Kalam Asad.
According to centre sources, 43 regular examinees took the exam in room 107. During distribution, they were mistakenly given the 2025 question paper instead of the 2026 paper. All 42 examinees wrote their answers on that paper. One examinee received the correct question paper.
After the exam, the centre secretary retrieved the answer scripts from the post office and sent the list of affected examinees to the Rajshahi Education Board.
Professor Abul Kalam Asad said the error was unintentional. The two invigilators have been served show-cause notices and relieved of duty. A probe committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
