On the first day of the Hajj pilgrimage, 4457 Bangladeshi pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia on 11 flights. Of these, 1,246 went by government means and 3,211 by private means.

The Hajj Office said that 5,756 pilgrims will leave Dhaka on 14 flights on the second day of the pilgrimage on Sunday. On this occasion, the Ashkona Hajj Camp has been bustling with pilgrims since morning. Like other years, this time too, immigration from the two countries is being completed at the Ashkona Hajj Camp. The Hajj Office also said that 100% of the visa process for the pilgrims has already been completed.

However, although most of the pilgrims are satisfied with the overall management of the Hajj camp, many have complained about the quality of food, mosquito infestation and bedbugs in the dormitories. The Hajj Office said that they are working seriously to reduce this suffering.
