44th BCS final results to be published this afternoon
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) is set to announce the final results of the 44th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination today, Monday, June 30. The results will likely be published on the PSC’s official website in the afternoon.
Earlier, there was a proposal to increase the number of cadre posts by around 400 in the final recommendation. However, the Advisory Council rejected this proposal, and the number of posts will remain the same as initially announced. Recruitment recommendations will only cover the vacancies listed in the original notification.
Officials from the PSC confirmed that the Ministry of Public Administration had forwarded the request to increase posts, but the Advisory Council did not approve it. Instead, the council suggested including these extra posts in future BCS notifications, meaning the 49th BCS could see a larger number of vacancies.
The 44th BCS circular, published on November 30, 2021, announced a total of 1,710 vacancies across various cadres. The education cadre has the largest number of posts at 776, followed by administration (250), police (50), foreign affairs (10), Ansar (14), audit and accounts (30), and family planning (27).
Candidates are advised to check the PSC website this afternoon for the official results.
