45-60kmph winds, rain likely in 8 districts by midday
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast gusty winds of up to 60 kilometres per hour, accompanied by rain or thundershowers, in several districts by midday on Tuesday, June 30.
A warning issued for the country's inland river ports until 1:00 pm said temporary gusty or squally winds of 45-60 kmph, blowing from the south or south-east, may occur over Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Mymensingh and Sylhet regions. Rain or thundershowers are also likely during this time.
River ports in these areas have been asked to hoist warning signal number one.
